About Us

 The Rock'n'Jive Social Club is a not for profit organisation comprising of a dedicated and hard working group of people providing a forum for members and others interested in dancing and socializing to meet and have fun.

We meet every Wednesday night (except Public Holidays) from 7:30pm at the Australian Anglo Indian Assoc. Cultural Hall, 32 Fernwood Square in Hepburn Heights (Padbury).

The format for the evening is designed around socializing and dance practice. Come on in and polish up your Rock'n'Roll, Jive, Swing, Line Dance, Partner Dance or sit with a coffee and chat.

Members are encouraged to pass on their knowledge and moves to others during the evening. Similarly, if you see somebody else doing a move or dance that you like, ask them to show it to you.

A usual Wednesday Night format is - Music commences around 7:30pm and at around 8pm we warm up with a progressive partner dance, a move or dance for the week is shown and a walk through is provided for approximately 20 minutes, then, it is up to you as to what you want to practice or learn. The evening finishes at 9:30pm so nice and early home.

Tea, coffee and supper is provided during a short break where information is conveyed to the members of upcoming events etc.

Entry is free. Visitors are encouraged to come along to see if they like what we offer. They will always be made to feel welcome, and able to join the Club.

We hold a regular Dance at the Osborne Park Bowling Club on the 2nd Saturday of every month where we feature a live Band plus DJ and include progressive dances and a variety of other popular dances, door prizes and a supper is provided. The band starts at 8pm and finishes at 12mn. It is a great night of dancing and socialising. Entry to dances is $12.00 for members and $15.00 for visitors. So why not  come on down for a great nights dancing and meet some fantastic people.
